Home - Birding - 5/21/2022
Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge, Massachusetts
This was the first birding trip I went on with my mom. Early on she made it seem like was just gonna drop me off there, but she ended up staying. I imagine it was either that she saw the gorgeous landscaping of the place or because the drive home was rather long and it wouldn't make sense to just leave me there for an hour or two. Even though we didn't see many birds this time around, the place was easily special enough to warrant future visits. I'd recommend it to any birders in the Massachusetts area!
The grackle gracks. The walker, they walk. I love how absentminded they look.
Mother mallard here. She was alarmingly close when we saw her, sitting in her nest.
A whole community of turtles, all on one piece of driftwood! I don't know reptiles well, but these could've been painted turtles.
A great blue heron wading in the water.
