Miscellaneous Pictures
Most of these pictures were taken from the comfort of my home's own birdfeeder, and as such do not belong to any one of my trips.
This was actually part of the first set of bird pictures I had ever taken, on July 14, 2021! A downy woodpecker takes off, while a northern cardinal gazes into the seed.
A blue jay with his face stuffed full of suet.
The very first bunny picture. The first of many.
This image served as my lock screen background for some time. I love the combination of the white-breasted nuthatch, and the mourning dove's stares as they look at this black-capped chickadee on the hanging feeder, it always reminded me of a Renaissance painting.
I took this shot of the Vermont countryside when I was heading up to Burlington for college, and we had found a rest stop along the way. Simply gorgeous to go through here during the fall, as all the leaves were turning...
Tufted titmouse, asking for attention perhaps. These are very high up on the list of my favorite birds for their fluffy looks and goofy names.
A red-bellied woodpecker picking at some suet. In our old Massachusetts home we got quite a large variety of woodpeckers! Downies and red-bellied woodpeckers were most common, but rarely we'd also see a hairy woodpecker and on one occasion we even saw a pileated woodpecker drilling into our trees.
I sat outside on a hammock late one night to watch the stars. Couldn't get any star pictures, but the house's lights were bright enough for me to get a nice picture of this moth.
Another very classy group photo, this time featuring a common grackle, a mourning dove and (perhaps unfortunately) a brown-headed cowbird.
This is the most recent of these! When visiting this summer my fiance spotted this adorable baby squirrel jumping around on the rocks. I'm not sure if it's a grey squirrel or a red squirrel.
